LBJ Is Still King Of The NBA After 18 Years

Images of LeBron from a child to teenager, to now.

LBJ is still king of the NBA after 18 years. “Just a kid from Akron” are the words of LeBron James. A single parent in the inner city of Akron Ohio raised LeBron. He always made it clear when interviewed that he is not from Cleveland, but a kid from Akron.

It’s mystifying, that LeBron, born to a single parent in one of the poorest communities, has made it to the highest pinnacle of the NBA. LeBron managed to go unscathed from all the alluring troubles that generally plague most kids growing up in the inner city. For all we know, it could be fitting that he earned the names, “The Chosen One” and “King James.”  His life seems to have a spiritual connection. In a word, LeBron is the answer to prayers prayed by Black ancestors.  They died believing, “The first shall be last and the last shall become first.”  In either case, one can easily make the argument that LeBron James is nothing short of a miracle. After 18 years LBJ is still king of the NBA.

Is it because he holds the all-time-scoring record of the NBA or the fact he’s never been in trouble with the law? Both speak to those answered prayers. In addition, LBJ has kept his promises. He promised to never forget where he came from. He built a school and named it, “I Promise.” Secondly, he brought some of his closest friends with him as he gained financial success. As a result he, and they have become even more successful. Even more remarkable, LBJ remains true to his words and remains king of the NBA. even after 18 years.

In brief, this blog’s purpose is to honor LeBron James’ legacy in an honorable and respectable fashion. In like manner, hopefully, it will resonate the same as LBJ, who is still king 18 years later.

LBJ, Living His Dream

LeBron James living his dream as a result, LBJ is still king of the NBA after 18 years.

All things considered, LeBron James is living his dream. He is doing what he loves. I guess you could say it’s similar to a kid enjoying recess. Most children hate to go to bed on Friday nights, and can’t wait to get up early Saturday morning. It seems they never get tired of playing. LBJ is still king of the NBA because he’s “just a kid from Akron” having fun playing.

In like fashion, we can apply this same standard to our lives. Success is possible for those who dare do what they love. LeBron and others have proven this point over and over again. However, far too many don’t believe in themselves. Therefore, they end up buying into things outside of themselves. As a result, unmanageable stress is induced, which ultimately creates other illnesses.

Because LeBron enjoys living his dream, he invests a lot into his health and body so he can continue having fun playing like a kid at recess. In the same fashion as LeBron, we too must invest in our dreams. Investing may come in many different forms. But whatever form they must come in for you, don’t cut yourself short. After all, who knows? It could very well sustain you, too, to enjoy doing the things you love for 18 years or more at the highest level.

It’s unprecedented that at age 38, LBJ is still king in the NBA after 18 years.

One most be mentally tough and strong to play at the highest level consistently.

For 18 Years LBJ Consistently Rinse & Repeat

This is what rinse and repeat looks like. Only a person who believes strongly enough to daily commit to excellent.

As an illustration, LeBron James’ life can be used as an example of success and how to maintain it. Although there are many books on this subject, observing someone you admire live out in real time what you just read is even more powerful.

Corporations will spend whatever it takes to get their operation to run smoothly and efficiently. Their goals are to resolve any issues that may keep them from operating at peak performance. When all issues are resolved employee is trained in the correct way. As a result, they are expected to perform as they are trained to do so, consistently every day.

Basically, one must develop a strong mindset. Additionally to perform at the highest level every day, one must understand that others are depending on you as well.

In like manner, for 18 years and counting LeBron James has accepted the importance of having his body and mind prepared to perform at the highest level every game. It is equally important, to point out that one must make a personal commitment to commit and rinse and repeat daily.

Remember LBJ is still king of the NBA after 18 years because he is committed not only to himself but also to his team members.

When LBJ Was Considered The G.O.A.T.

The Cleveland Cavaliers won the 2016 championship against the Golden State Warriors. LBJ is still king of the NBA after 18 years.

In the beginning, LeBron was reluctant to accept the title of the G.O.A.T. It wasn’t until he won against the Golden State Warriors that his reluctance changed. At the time the Golden State Warriors had the best record in NBA history and they were beating the Cleveland Cavaliers 3 games to 1 in a 7-game NBA final. LeBron James and his team did something that had never been done before in the history of the NBA. They made a comeback to win the NBA title in the year 2016. LeBron James led his Cavaliers back from a 3-1 deficit to win the next three games thus becoming the World’s NBA Champions. As a result, he accepted the title.

At this point, it really doesn’t matter how many more championships LeBron wins. Beating the Golden State Warriors that year in that fashion forever solidified him in the history books of the NBA.

In the meantime, LeBron won another one in 2020 during the height of the pandemic (which is another milestone). Perhaps it’s fair to say LBJ is still king of the NBA after 18 years.

LBJ Greatness Beyond Basketball

LeBron says he's not done yet. Is almost unthinkable how one man has dominated the entire NBA for a span of 18 years, and counting.

Since joining the NBA, LeBron James has established a legendary legacy of becoming the face of the NBA. He transitioned from NBA rings and MVP awards to building schools and activism. Unfortunately, his activism has caused his haters to come after him nonstop, 24/7. Surprisingly, some have gone as far as to say out loud on a major network, “Shut up and dribble.”

In light of LBJ’s detractors, he has not wavered in his commitment and promise. Regardless, after 18 years, LBJ continues to dominate the NBA as well as the narrative outside of basketball.

LeBron’s “I Promise” school, offers children in high-risk situations a secure environment to learn and to pay their tuition if they choose to attend the University of Akron. Additionally, LBJ is helping the parents of students receive access to job placement services in helping them get their GED.

As much as we enjoy watching LeBron James play basketball, we respect and appreciate his commitment to giving back. Boys & Girls Clubs of America and Children’s Defense Fund are just a few areas that tell you where his heart is.

Affectionately known as, “The Chosen One” LBJ is still king of the NBA after 18 years, especially among Black Americans.

LBJ Is A Great Role Model

LeBron James is a role model to many children in the world, especially to those from Akron Ohio.

Once in a while, we get to watch greatness but seldom do we get to watch them grow from humble beginnings to billionaire status. Without a doubt, LeBron is a role model for everyone who is willing to believe in their dreams. His life story is truly remarkable.

When I read Rudyard Kipling’s, “If” I see LeBron: If you can keep your head when all about you are losing theirs and blaming it on you. If you can trust yourself when all men doubt you. But make allowance for their doubting too

Although LeBron has gone to The White House and met with presidents, he has managed to keep the common touch. Every boy, girl, man, and woman regardless of their race has found inspiring qualities in his character.

It is well documented that LeBron spends millions on his mind and body, and trains daily throughout the year so that he is prepared to play at peak performance game after game.

For the most part, we stayed away from his basketball accomplishments. That’s because we believe LeBron’s character is worth highlighting and imitating.

Again, LBJ has managed to still be king of the NBA after 18 years.

Conclusion

LeBron James came from humble beginnings, now he's a billionaire. This is a beautiful picture of the James family.

LeBron is one of the most popular athletes in the world and is always willing to help out his teams. He is a true ambassador for the NBA and is always willing to help promote the league. He is a great role model for young athletes and is always willing to help out in any way he can.

In spite of his many accomplishments and accolades in the great national sport of basketball, LeBron James is more than an athlete. His outspokenness on matters of justice has inspired many people of color to admire him. By the same token, it has also caused many on the right, politically speaking, to hate him.

Above all, Black Americans overwhelmingly adore LBJ because he continues to stay true to his words and the community. Player agent and friend of LeBron James, Rich Paul, from Akron, became his agent and financial advisor. From their friendship, KLUTCH Sports was created which represents some of the biggest names in the NBA today.

Another key point that is so important and worth mentioning above all else is that he married his high school sweetheart, and they are still married.

Fannie Lou Hamer said, “The flag is drenched with our blood”, some marched we shall overcome and some sang I’m Black and proud. LeBron James is proudly living the life they prayed for with honor and pride.

In conclusion n, LBJ Is Still King Of The NBA After 18 Years
